The 2023 Cadillac ESV is available with three engine options: a standard 6.2L V8 engine, a 3.0L Duramax® Turbo Diesel engine, or a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine, which is available on the performance-focused Escalade-V ESV. The standard V8 engine produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, while the supercharged version produces an incredible 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque – making it the most powerful full-size production SUV in the industry. All engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The fuel economy of the Cadillac ESV depends on the engine option and the driving conditions. The V8 engine gets an EPA-estimated 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. The inline-6 engine gets an EPA-estimated 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
